On October 22, the main arch of the world's long-span road-rail dual-purpose steel arch bridge-Hutong Yangtze River Bridge Tiansheng Port Special Channel Bridge, constructed by the China Communications Second Navigation Bureau, closed.
The bridge is a control project across the Yangtze River for the Shanghai-Nantong (Shanghai-Nantong) railway section of China's coastal railway corridor. The total weight of the steel truss girder and main arch is 32400 tons, which is equivalent to crossing a 50-ton steel structure for every step on the bridge deck. The main span of the bridge is 1092 meters, which is the world's long-span dual-purpose cable-stayed bridge. (Reprinted)
