Formwork travelers are the main equipments in cantilever construction, and according to structure, they can be classified as truss traveler（including rhombic, triangular, bow-string etc.）, Cable stayed traveler (including triangular and prestressed), profile steel traveler and hybrid traveler.，In accordance with the design requirements and the technological requirements of the cantilever construction and the construction environment, and compared with other various of formwork travelers` features, weights, types of steels adopted, construction technologies etc., the rhombic formwork traveler was selected for Beijing large ring rail of Beijing-Tianjin Rail with a length of 15.49 km. With force exerted definitely, Rhombus Formwork Traveler is simple in structure, mounted, anchored and stripped easily。It takes no road space when under construction and does not interrupt the traffic. By “formwork traveler” moving, concrete bridge body casted on site generates in “formwork traveler”.  With the traveler, builders cast the bridge segment of 2-4m every time, and when the bridge body grows hard enough, the hydraulic equipment will push the formwork traveler ahead, then the builders cast next segment. This construction method is adopted for the first time in the bridge constructions of Beijing.

  The rhombic formwork traveler designed and manufactured by Sanbo consists of main trusses, hanging system, anchoring system, travelling system and bottom formwork. Design principles: light weight; simple, strong and stable structure; moved, mounted and stripped easily; strong reusability; small deformation under force; adequate space under traveler and providing a big construction operation face for bars and formwork construction operation.
