DUBAI
Dubai Metrorail is a large international project that has high technical skills. 5 combinations finally bidding in the project are all composed of top-class companies which list in top ten in the world. The project includes two light rails, in which Line I (called Red Line) starts from the border between Dubai and Sharjah and ends to Jebel Ali (in Dubai), 50 km in total length; Line 2 (called Green Line) runs overheadly mostly and changes to underground in the Dubai central business district, with a total length of 19.2km, investment of 4 billion dollars and design cutoff interval of 90 seconds, along which is 45 stations, adopting fully automatic driverless technology. The project will be conducted in two phases. Sanbo manufactured large formworks for Deal company of Italy for the project, and the products are confirmed by both contraction party and supervision party.
Technique Principle:
A main beam is divided into blocks with appropriate length longitudinally, then the blocks are casted, carried to job site and installed, at last these blocks are prestressed to become a whole bridge.
Main Features:
(1) No supports in spans
(2) Construction equipment decreased and working operation simplified
The force during construction and the force during operation after bridge completed can easily get closely same with the cantilever assembly construction method.
(3) Multi-span structures can be erected same time, and the construction is speeded.
(4) The cantilever assembly construction method uses the character that prestressed concrete cantilever structures have strong ability of bearing hogging moment, which improves bridges` spanning ability.
(5) With the cantilever assembly construction method, construction cost is saved and project cost is reduced.
