As one of the control projects of Taizhou coastal expressway, Taizhou Bay Bridge has been paid close attention to since its construction. A few days ago, the construction of the project has entered the control key process of the whole bridge, that is, the installation stage of the segmental beam.

It is understood that, with the first day of the new year the first piece of segmental beam smoothly hoisting in place, the current Taizhou Bay Bridge project construction has entered the upper part of the bridge bridge construction stage."

At the same time, the reporter also saw at the construction site that the hoisting segmental beams are huge in size, and the weight of each segmental beam is about 80 to 100 tons. They are mainly transported by construction ships from Sanmen Prefabrication Factory to the construction bridge area, and the hoisting, suspension and assembly installation are completed through the bridge erecting machine crane.
The safety minister of the TS09 bid project of Taizhou bay sea-crossing bridge said: "our segmental beam requires high assembly accuracy. we transport the segmental beam to the construction bridge area for pre-assembly and pre-assembly. after that, we will open it to apply engineering glue, and then carry out a job of tensioning, sealing and riveting."

According to introduction, the segmental beam installation site adopts a special segmental assembling and bridge erecting machine to assemble the whole bridge section by section, and completes the whole bridge assembly through multiple processes such as hoisting, suspension assembling and suspension. The reporter learned that the Taizhou Bay Bridge is 4.038 kilometers long and has 1782 segmental box girders. At present, the construction of the project has entered the stage of bridge erection, and 50% of the hoisting of segmental beams has been completed by the end of 2017.

Therefore, at present, our Taizhou Bay Bridge has entered the hoisting work of segmental beams of non-navigable bridges on the south bank. We have a total of 1782 segmental beams in the whole bridge, and now 16 have been hoisted. We have completed the hoisting of 38 segmental beams before the Spring Festival.

According to reports, the installation of segmental beams is one of the key control processes of the Taizhou Bay Bridge, and the Taizhou Bay Bridge, as an important node of the Taizhou coastal expressway project, is also a key control project. It straddles the north and south of the Jiaojiang River, runs through Jiaojiang District and Linhai City, and then connects Sanmen Bay, Taizhou Bay and Yueqing Bay. The bridge project has a total investment of 1.734 billion yuan and a total length of 4.038 kilometers. It is expected that the project will be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2018.
